FAQ and troubleshooting
The questions that come up most, with the fix for each.
Sending problems
- “Outside the 24-hour window” — the contact hasn't messaged you in 24 hours. Send an approved template instead of free text.
- “Quota exceeded” — you've hit your plan's monthly message allowance. Upgrade or buy a message add-on from Billing.
- “Daily limit reached” — Meta's per-number tier caps unique recipients per day. It rises automatically as quality stays green.
- Message stuck as Queued — check Reliability for queue depth and dead-lettered sends; failures retry with backoff.
- Delivered but not read — that's normal; read receipts depend on the recipient's privacy settings.
- Invalid number — numbers must be E.164 with country code, e.g. +919876543210.
Template problems
- Rejected internally — read the reviewer's note on the template, edit, and resubmit.
- Rejected by Meta — usually promotional content filed as Utility, missing variable examples, or unclear placeholders.
- Paused — high block/report rates pause a template automatically; it resumes after performance recovers.
- Can't use it in a campaign — only templates approved by Meta are selectable.
- Editing an approved template sends it back through review.
Fastest approval
Give a real example value for every variable and keep marketing content in the Marketing category.
Billing questions
- Upgrades prorate immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.
- Your invoice covers the subscription plus any add-ons; Meta conversation costs appear as pass-through with markup.
- Currency follows your workspace region and is set at signup.
- Failed payment retries for a few days before the workspace is limited — update the card in Billing.
- Invoices and receipts download from Billing at any time.
Access problems
- Can't see Settings or Billing — those need the Owner or Admin role; ask your workspace owner.
- Signed in but the wrong data — you're in another workspace; switch with the workspace picker in the sidebar.
- Invite link expired — ask an admin to resend it from the Team page.
- SSO enforced — sign in through your identity provider; password login is disabled for your domain.
- Blocked from an unusual location — an IP allow-list may be active on the workspace.
