Selling on WhatsApp
Take an order from the first question all the way to payment, without leaving the chat.
Your products
- Add products on the Products page: name, description, picture, price, stock and product code.
- If you have a Shopify or WooCommerce shop, you can bring your products in from there.
- Share one product, or a list of several, as a message customers can tap through.
Orders
An order is created when a customer checks out from the chat, when a team member creates one from a conversation, or when your connected shop sends one over. Each order shows what was bought, the total, whether it's paid, and the chat it came from.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Waiting for payment | The order is created but not paid yet. |
| Cash on delivery | The customer will pay when it arrives. You'll see whether they've confirmed. |
| Paid | We've received confirmation that the payment went through. |
| Shipped / Delivered | The order is on its way, or has arrived. |
| Cancelled / Refunded | The order was cancelled, or the money was given back. |
| Payment failed | The payment didn't go through. The customer can try again. |
Payment links
- 1On the Products page, under Commerce settings, connect your Stripe account. You'll find the keys in your Stripe dashboard.
- 2Open an order and create a Stripe payment link.
- 3Send the link in the chat. Your customer pays on a secure page.
- 4When the payment goes through, the order is marked as paid and a confirmation message is sent automatically.
Other ways to get paid
Reminders for unfinished carts
If someone leaves items in their cart without paying, we send them a friendly reminder with a link to finish checking out, after the delay you choose. We only remind each cart a limited number of times, so customers aren't pestered, and the sales you win back appear in your reports.
Order updates for customers
When an order's status changes, GetPulseRelay can send the customer an update, such as "confirmed", "shipped" with tracking, or "delivered". These use Utility templates, which cost less than Marketing templates and are rarely rejected.
