Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of personal data held by GetPulseRelay, operated by UCSSOFT SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED. The steps depend on whether you are a GetPulseRelay account holder or a person who has exchanged messages with a business that uses GetPulseRelay. For more detail on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. GetPulseRelay account holders

If you have a GetPulseRelay account or workspace, you can delete your data by:

  1. Signing in and opening Settings in your workspace. Workspace owners can delete contacts, conversations, templates and other content, remove team members, and disconnect channels at any time.
  2. To delete your entire account or workspace, use the deletion option in Settings where available, or email privacy@getpulserelay.com from the email address registered to the account with the subject "Account deletion request" and your workspace name.

Invited team members who want only their own user profile removed can ask a workspace owner to remove them, or email us directly.

2. People who messaged a business (end-contacts)

If you exchanged WhatsApp, SMS, RCS or email messages with a business that uses GetPulseRelay, that business controls your data and decides how it is used (it is the "Data Fiduciary" under India's DPDP Act, and we are its "Data Processor"). To have your data deleted:

  1. Contact the business directly and ask it to delete your data. Businesses can delete your contact record and conversation history from their GetPulseRelay workspace.
  2. If you cannot reach the business, or are unsure which business holds your data, email privacy@getpulserelay.com with your phone number or email address and the name of the business, if known. We will verify the request and forward it to the relevant business, and assist it in completing the deletion.

Deleting data from GetPulseRelay does not remove copies held by Meta/WhatsApp, your mobile carrier, or on your own device or the business's other systems. To manage data held by WhatsApp itself, use WhatsApp's own account and privacy settings.

3. Stop receiving messages

You can opt out of messages from a business at any time by replying STOP to a WhatsApp or SMS message, or by using the unsubscribe link in an email. Opting out stops further marketing messages; it does not by itself delete your existing data, so please also submit a deletion request as described above if you want your data removed.

4. What happens after you request deletion

  • We acknowledge verified requests sent to us by email within 7 days.
  • Data is deleted from our active systems within 30 days of a verified request (or of the business's instruction, for end-contact data).
  • Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on their normal rotation cycle, typically within a further 30 days, and are not used in the meantime.
  • We will confirm by email once deletion is complete.

5. Data we may retain

Some limited information may be kept after deletion where required or permitted by law:

  • Invoices, payment and tax records, kept for the period required by tax and accounting laws.
  • A minimal suppression record (such as a phone number marked as opted out) so that you are not messaged again.
  • Security, audit and fraud-prevention logs, kept for a limited period and then deleted.
  • Information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or comply with lawful requests.

Retained data is kept securely and used only for these purposes.

6. Your other rights, and if you're not happy

Deletion is one of several rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and laws such as the GDPR. You can also ask for a summary of your data, have it corrected or completed, withdraw your consent, and nominate someone to act for you if you die or can't act yourself. Our Privacy Policy explains each one.

If you're unhappy with how we handled your request, contact our Grievance Officer, Grievance Officer, at grievance@getpulserelay.com. We aim to resolve grievances within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India (or, where the GDPR applies, your local data protection authority).
